Managing Director – Asset Management

About the role

ZB Asset Management is seeking a visionary Managing Director to steer the next phase of growth, innovation and transformation in the asset management business. The role combines strategic leadership, market development and operational excellence to position the firm as the preferred investment partner for institutional, corporate and retail clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategy execution and drive sustainable revenue, profitability and market‑share growth.
• Accelerate Funds Under Management growth and secure new institutional, corporate and retail mandates.
• Develop innovative investment products and solutions.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships locally and internationally.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Drive digital transformation, operational excellence and talent development.
• Strengthen relationships with regulators, investors and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, Investment, Finance or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Leadership or equivalent (preferred).
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is an advantage.
• At least 8 years of experience in portfolio management, investments or financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in senior management.
• Deep knowledge of capital markets, the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE), FINSEC and the Securities and Exchange Commission Act.
