Teller (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, customer‑focused Teller to join our CABS branch in Harare on a contract basis. The role involves delivering world‑class service by accurately processing teller transactions while complying with all banking procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Authenticate clients and transactions in line with policies to prevent fraud and losses.
• Verify cash on hand against system balances at the start, end and regular intervals, reporting discrepancies immediately.
• Process all teller‑related transactions within established limits and prepare required documentation for filing.
• Provide courteous service, identify client needs, and refer opportunities for cross‑selling of products.
• Stay updated on CABS risk, compliance circulars and standing instructions.
• Suggest improvements to business processes and act as a brand ambassador upholding CABS values.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting and Business Administration or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good numerical aptitude and integrity in handling cash.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Digital literacy.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management in banking.
