Cashier – Payments Processing & Reconciliation

About the role

The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate cash records, and supporting treasury operations. This role ensures that all cash and card transactions are correctly posted in SAP and that any discrepancies are promptly resolved.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer payments, issue receipts, and keep the cash register balanced.
• Maintain and file supporting documents such as SAP receipts, cash receipts, and cash receipt vouchers.
• Perform daily reconciliation of cash receipts, card payments, and SAP postings.
• Clear unallocated deposits weekly for all banks and match cash guarantee accounts monthly.
• Prepare and send matching instructions to Treasury and banks on a weekly basis.
• Raise and process adjustment journals for mis‑posted entries and approved write‑offs to keep the debtor ledger clean.
• Process card fee integrations and submit related files for posting.
• Provide reports on customer credit balances and ensure balances older than six months are cleared.
• Respond to internal and external queries regarding payments.
• Adhere to cash‑handling policies, fraud‑prevention measures, and data confidentiality standards.
