Accounts Clerk

About the role

An employer based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe is looking for an Accounts Clerk to handle financial documentation and records. The role involves processing transactions, managing ledgers, preparing reports and working with the finance team on month-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation and records in a timely manner.
• Use accounting platforms such as Pastel, QuickBooks or Sage to process transactions and manage ledgers.
• Generate financial reports and analyse data using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and the MS Office Suite.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and support month-end closing procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting / Finance.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate financial records.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel, QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and the MS Office Suite.
