Investment Consultant (Financial Advisor)

About the role

A client of Prestige IFA Jobs is looking for a client-focused Financial Advisor to join its partner firm in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The role delivers tailored financial solutions to an international clientele, with an emphasis on cross-border planning, investment management and wealth preservation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial advisory services covering investments, pensions and wealth planning
• Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service
• Carry out detailed fact-finding sessions to understand clients' financial circumstances and objectives
• Construct tailored financial plans addressing both short-term needs and long-term goals
• Advise on cross-border tax planning, international investments and wealth structuring
• Guide clients through UK pension transfer options, QROPS and expatriate financial planning
• Operate within regulatory requirements and keep meticulous compliance records

Required profile

• Recognised UK financial planning qualification (DipPFS, CISI Level 4, CFP or similar)
• 2-3 years of proven experience in a client-facing advisory capacity
• First-class communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
• Experience advising international or expatriate clients is advantageous
• Commitment to high professional standards and regulatory compliance
• Not suitable for accountants, auditors or financial managers; it is a client-facing, sales and targets-driven role

Required skills

• Knowledge of investment markets, pension legislation and wealth management
• UK pension transfer and QROPS guidance
