About the role
A Stock Controller position is open in Harare, Zimbabwe. The role keeps stock records accurate, monitors movements and helps maintain optimal stock levels while working closely with procurement, warehouse and store teams.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Monitor stock movements and investigate variances
- Ensure accurate stock records on the system
- Maintain optimal stock levels
- Identify and report slow-moving, expired or damaged stock
- Implement and support stock loss prevention measures
- Prepare inventory and stock reports
- Work closely with procurement, warehouse and store teams
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Logistics or a related field
- At least 3 years' relevant experience, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG or distribution
- Strong commitment to minimizing stock losses and maintaining inventory integrity
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Experience with inventory/stock management systems
- Numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and record-keeping
