Logistics Planner

About the role

A full-time Logistics Planner position is open in Harare, Zimbabwe. The role covers procurement planning, supplier management, inventory monitoring and coordination of logistics operations such as transportation, warehousing and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with operational needs.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement and logistics with project timelines.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in procurement and logistics planning.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, vendor management and inventory control.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Must be a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Procurement & Supply (ZIPS) and/or the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
• Preference for immediately available candidates.
