Procurement Planner

About the role

A full-time Procurement Planner position is open in Harare, Zimbabwe. The role covers developing procurement plans aligned with operational needs, coordinating logistics and keeping purchase records accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with operational needs.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement and logistics with project timelines.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in procurement and logistics planning.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, vendor management and inventory control.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and organisational skills, and strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Procurement & Supply (ZIPS) and/or the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
• Preference for immediately available candidates.
