Undertaker – Funeral Services Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Undertaker to manage and coordinate funeral arrangements, providing compassionate support to bereaved families while ensuring the respectful care of the deceased. This fixed‑term position is based in Zimbabwe and reports to the funeral home management team.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage funeral services, including burials and cremations.
• Prepare bodies for burial or cremation in accordance with health and legal standards.
• Handle all required legal paperwork and documentation.
• Support and advise grieving families throughout the process.
• Coordinate logistics such as transportation, venue setup, and scheduling.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee funeral home operations and keep accurate records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the funeral services industry.
• Class One Driver’s License preferred.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work sensitively with families and manage emotionally charged situations.
