Trainee Financial Advisor

About the role

deVere Group is seeking two ambitious individuals to join its Wealth Management Trainee Programme in Bulawayo. As a Trainee Financial Advisor you will start your career in a leading international financial advisory firm, receiving structured training and mentorship while working alongside experienced advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in in‑house and online training modules covering wealth management, investment solutions and client relationship management.
• Assist senior advisers in preparing client proposals and conducting market research.
• Engage with clients under supervision to understand their financial goals and provide basic advice.
• Develop a professional network and build long‑term relationships with clients.
• Meet performance targets and contribute to the growth of the Bulawayo office.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional attitude, accountability and a strong work ethic.
• Commercial awareness and a willingness to learn.
• Confidence in speaking with clients and building relationships.
• Previous client‑facing experience (banking, sales, hospitality, etc.) is advantageous but not mandatory.
