Counter Sales Clerk – Fasteners & Tools

About the role

A retailer in Bulawayo is looking for a counter sales clerk to welcome customers, advise them on fasteners, tools and technical specifications, and handle sales and quotations. The role covers the counter and showroom, and requires good product knowledge of the fastener and stock range.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and advise on fasteners, tools and technical specifications
• Process sales, quotations and POS transactions
• Maintain product knowledge across the fastener and stock range
• Keep the counter and showroom organised and assist with stock management
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally

Required profile

• 5 'O' Levels (English and Maths); a Diploma in Sales/Marketing is an advantage
• 2+ years of counter sales experience in hardware, engineering, steel or auto spares
• Fluent in English and Ndebele; Shona is a plus

Required skills

• Knowledge of bolt grades, metric and imperial measurements and power tools
• Computer literacy
