Sales Consultant – Technical Products

About the role

A full-time sales consultant position in Harare, Zimbabwe, focused on identifying and approaching potential customers and presenting technical products or services. The role supports senior technical sales representatives and follows documented sales procedures and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential customers and present and explain technical products or services
• Assist in generating leads and follow up on prospects
• Support product demonstrations and customer presentations, helping customers understand features, benefits and practical use
• Maintain customer records in sales/CRM systems and prepare daily and weekly sales activity reports
• Handle basic customer inquiries, objections and technical questions, and give product recommendations based on customer needs
• Ensure customer satisfaction and relationship building
• Follow documented sales SOPs, technical procedures and performance targets
• Attend internal product, technical and sales training sessions
• Support senior technical sales representatives in meetings and field activities

Required profile

• A-Level certificate and Diploma, or degree
• Interest in technical sales, sales, marketing, customer service or business development
• Interest in technology, equipment, systems or technical products and services
• Willingness to learn technical product knowledge and sales systems

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets)
• CRM software preferred
