Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an efficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting department. You will work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and Clerk to ensure timely vendor payments and maintain accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Explain and assist vendors and internal stakeholders with the accounts payable process.
• Verify invoices, bank statements, tax documents, and general ledger entries.
• Process invoice payments to vendors on a timely basis.
• Research and rectify unpaid invoices and receipts.
• Maintain accurate financial records of processed payments and monitor company expenses.
• Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist the Accounts Payable Manager in gathering and interpreting financial data.
• Analyze vendor accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Schedule vendor payments, advance payments, and disbursements.
• Prepare payment documentation for audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Wave, and Pabbly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
