Project Assistant

About the role
UNDP is seeking a Project Assistant to support the implementation of the Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund (ZRBF) Phase II. The role will contribute to strengthening community resilience, natural resource management and climate‑risk governance across selected landscapes in Zimbabwe.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the project team in planning, monitoring and implementing project activities in line with work plans and donor agreements.
- Compile, analyse and summarise data and information required for project reports, work plans and proposals.
- Prepare draft annual and quarterly budgets, financial proposals and implementation arrangements in consultation with the team.
- Support the execution of project components, ensuring compliance with UNDP guidelines, partner agreements and relevant regulations.
- Review project documents for completeness, accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements.
Required profile
- University degree or equivalent experience in development studies, environmental management, social sciences or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in project support, data handling or administrative functions within development programmes.
- Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and stakeholders.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document preparation and data analysis.
