Programme Intern – International Development

About the role

The Programme Intern will assist the International Division in Harare with the implementation, monitoring and management of Trócaire Zimbabwe’s programme portfolio. Working under the Programme Manager, the intern will collaborate with Programme Advisors, finance staff and local partners to ensure high‑quality delivery and compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support Programme Advisors throughout the full project cycle, including technical assistance and training for partners.
• Review partner reports, provide feedback and ensure alignment with results‑based management and donor standards.
• Assist with monitoring, evaluation and learning activities in partnership with MEL staff.
• Prepare narrative reports and contribute to grant proposals and documentation.
• Maintain programme data in Salesforce and Box, performing periodic data quality audits.
• Provide administrative support, prepare presentations and briefing materials, and help with work‑plan and budget preparation.
• Work with the Programme Accountant on budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and partner disbursements.
