Data Center Engineer

About the role

Huawei Zimbabwe is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to lead the electrical design and delivery of its data center projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver electrical solutions for data center projects, including site surveys, selection, and planning.
• Manage design drawings and provide technical coordination during construction, handling design changes and on‑site support.
• Oversee testing, acceptance, and lifecycle technical support for each project.
• Control quality, schedule, cost, and risk to meet design delivery goals.
• Plan electromechanical products, consolidate requirements, clarify features, and develop tailored solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with experience in data center electromechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical system architecture and related product cost structures.
• Familiarity with Huawei data center design standards and construction practices.
• Understanding of HVAC, intelligent building systems, fire protection, building decoration, and integrated wiring systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain solutions to customers.
• Cost‑conscious, service‑oriented mindset with solid logical and coordination abilities.
