Driller

About the role

The Driller is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Harare, Zimbabwe. You will operate and maintain drilling equipment for boreholes, RC drilling and other project‑specific drilling activities, following detailed project plans and strict safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and commission drilling rigs for each job.
• Monitor drilling performance, ensuring depth and angle accuracy.
• Inspect equipment daily to identify defects and safety risks.
• Record drilling data and report any equipment issues promptly.
• Collaborate with supervisors, blasters and site teams to align drilling and blasting schedules.
• Work safely in outdoor, mining and construction environments, complying with company and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Experience operating heavy equipment and performing basic maintenance.
• Strong drilling skills, including RC and borehole drilling, with familiarity of various drilling methods.
• Exposure to directional drilling techniques and ability to meet precise specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret drilling plans, logs and technical instructions.
• Relevant technical certificate or trade qualification in drilling, mining or a related field is preferred.
• Physical capability to work in demanding outdoor conditions and willingness to travel to project sites.
