Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding Real Estate team in Harare. You will act as the client‑facing representative, managing projects from feasibility through to post‑contract delivery and supporting the firm’s digital cost‑management transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, procurement and tendering documents, and manage contract administration including variations and final accounts.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost planning and produce final cost plans for a variety of projects.
• Lead tendering and procurement activities, including pre‑qualification, tender analysis and compilation of contract documents.
• Provide timely financial reporting, valuations and cost risk analysis, and support value‑engineering exercises.
• Interface with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout all project stages.

Required profile

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Full membership of RICS (MRICS) is preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to support junior staff.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of construction methods and procurement routes.
• Sound understanding of contract forms such as JBCC, NEC and AIZ.
• Excellent measurement and cost‑planning expertise.
