About the role
The Head Chef will lead the kitchen team at Job Connect’s on‑site dining facility in Harare. This full‑time position is responsible for delivering high‑quality culinary experiences while maintaining strict food safety and cost controls.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute daily menus that meet customer preferences and business objectives.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and performance.
- Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance throughout the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.
- Formal culinary training or certification is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on‑site in Harare, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
