Customer Service Consultant

About the role

The Customer Service Consultant will deliver world‑class service by handling calls, emails and other correspondence promptly, while ensuring accurate quoting, invoicing and key administrative tasks. This role supports both local and export markets and contributes to achieving sales targets through high‑quality customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Educate customers on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) matters.
• Coordinate sales for export and local markets, including preparation of commercial invoices.
• Process local and export quotations and attend to walk‑in customers.
• Assist in meeting sales targets, product allocation, planning and sales forecasting.
• Handle discounts, price lists, credit overrides, credit notes, system change forms and month‑end reviews.
• Monitor market exchange rate updates and share commercial reports such as daily trading and back‑order reports.
• Address technical queries and customer issues, providing accurate information for resolution.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure exceptional service.
• Assist with document filing to meet audit compliance requirements.
• Identify lagging or slow‑moving products and advise the sales team for volume recovery.
• Share fiscalised invoices in a timely manner.
• Provide backup support as a Shadow Customer Service Consultant for imports and exports.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing or Sales.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales environment or customer service with repeat orders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
