About the role

The Avani Victoria Falls Resort is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join its engineering team. The role focuses on maintaining the hotel’s facilities, ensuring all carpentry work meets the high standards of safety, quality, and sustainability that the brand upholds.

Key responsibilities

• Complete tasks on the preventive maintenance schedule as defined in hotel plans.
• Repair and maintain wooden structures, doors, furniture and other carpentry elements throughout the resort.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area after each job and properly store all tools.
• Follow all safety procedures while performing carpentry work.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with the Shift Leader throughout the shift.
• Participate in the hotel’s energy‑conservation programmes and suggest cost‑saving ideas.
• Use or recommend environmentally‑friendly products wherever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety procedures at all times.
• Effective communication with the Shift Leader and other team members.
• Proactive attitude towards energy conservation and cost efficiency.
