Core Network Engineer (Packet Switching)

About the role

We are looking for a Core Network Engineer specialized in packet switching to join Huawei’s network operations team. The engineer will maintain and operate core network packet‑switching equipment, monitor performance, and ensure reliable data and wireless communications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of core network packet‑switching systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults related to packet switching, wireless and data transmission.
• Follow established operation and maintenance processes, including fault detection, analysis and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate network security vulnerabilities and implement protective measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise network performance and document configurations and incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and independent issue resolution.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain system integrity.
