Wireless Planning & Optimization Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Zimbabwean Wireless Planning & Optimization Engineer who can turn complex RF data into a seamless user experience. You will lead network planning and optimization projects across GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G, ensuring voice and data services perform at their best.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of wireless planning and optimization projects from concept to implementation.
• Own network quality and continuously improve the user experience for voice and high‑speed data.
• Design, model, and optimize wireless networks to solve real‑world connectivity challenges.
• Translate technical complexity into clear communication for customers and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve deep‑tier technical issues within the product portfolio.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of wireless communication principles and RAN architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with RF performance, antenna systems, and indoor distribution.
• Proven track record managing GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G networks.
• Ability to influence customer decisions and mitigate technical risks.
• Technical background in network construction or maintenance with 3–5 years of delivery experience.
