Armed Security Guard

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Armed Security Guard to protect our mining site in Harare. You will be the frontline defender of our premises, assets, and personnel, ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor access control points and verify identities of all entrants.
• Conduct regular patrols of the site, both on foot and by vehicle.
• Observe, record, and report any suspicious activity or security incidents.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents in line with company procedures.
• Operate and maintain security equipment such as CCTV, alarms, and communication devices.
• Collaborate with site management, local authorities, and emergency services as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Valid firearm competency certification and legal authorization to carry a weapon.
• Strong situational awareness, risk assessment, and decision‑making under pressure.
• Physical fitness suitable for regular patrols and rapid response.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Clean background check and high level of integrity.
