Accounting Clerk – Harare, Zimbabwe

About the role

The Finance department is seeking a diligent Accounting Clerk to join the team in Harare. You will be responsible for processing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities. This role offers the opportunity to develop a broad range of accounting skills in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain accounting records and perform bookkeeping duties.
• Prepare and reconcile bank, cash and supplier statements.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with payroll administration and statutory submissions.
• Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial closing processes.
• Maintain accurate filing and financial documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, reporting and other finance‑related administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of practical bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with integrity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
