Student Affairs Campus Coordinator – Harare & Kwekwe

About the role

The Student Affairs Campus Coordinator will support the Executive Dean of Student Affairs in overseeing student‑focused services at Midlands State University’s Harare and Kwekwe campuses. The role ensures that policies, programmes and welfare initiatives align with the university’s vision and promote student growth and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the Student Affairs Division and campus stakeholders, developing and enhancing services that meet student needs.
• Monitor compliance with university policies, standard operating procedures and divisional processes.
• Assist students with welfare concerns that may affect their academic performance.
• Participate in meetings, committees and communicate relevant information as directed by the Executive Dean.
• Support the implementation of policies and administrative tasks within the Student Affairs Division.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Psychology, Counselling or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in a university or tertiary institution’s Student Affairs division.
• Demonstrated leadership or involvement in student activities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of student‑affairs policies and procedures.
• Ability to monitor compliance and manage welfare cases.
• Effective liaison and coordination skills across campus units.
