Social Enterprise Development Specialist Consultant

About the role

The Social Enterprise Development Specialist Consultant will work remotely, traveling as needed to support NGOs and CBOs in designing and launching sustainable social‑enterprise models. You will join a team dedicated to reducing donor dependency by building financially resilient, mission‑driven organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and market analyses for partner NGOs/CBOs.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and one‑on‑one coaching on social‑enterprise design.
• Assist organizations in preparing business plans, refining revenue strategies, and identifying customers or partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop tools, resources, and templates.
• Monitor project outcomes, collect data, and prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability for market assessments, financial projections, and impact evaluations.
• Excellent communication skills for workshop facilitation, presentations, and written guidance.
• Experience in social‑enterprise development, business consulting, or nonprofit capacity building.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or a related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and a commitment to social impact.
• Prior experience with NGOs/CBOs, especially in an African context, is an advantage.
