Security Guard

About the role

Ukozi Security Services is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Security Guard to join its team in Harare. The successful candidate will help protect people, property and critical assets by monitoring entry points, conducting patrols and responding to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control access at entry and exit points, verifying identification as required.
• Perform regular patrols of assigned areas to deter theft, vandalism and other security incidents.
• Observe, record and report suspicious activities and any breaches of site rules.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incident calls, coordinating with supervisors or local authorities.
• Assist visitors and staff with directions and basic customer service while enforcing safety protocols.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in security, law enforcement or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Physical ability to stand or patrol for extended periods and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients, visitors and colleagues.
