Sales Manager

About the role

As a Sales Manager at Mukuru, you will lead the expansion of the company’s footprint in Zimbabwe, building partnerships and driving sustainable revenue for financial services that connect communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward‑looking sales roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and unlock new revenue streams across B2B and B2P channels.
• Monitor performance, track targets and apply agile interventions to achieve results.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to keep Mukuru competitive.
• Secure and manage strategic partnerships, leading negotiations and onboarding.
• Lead, coach and develop high‑performing teams in Sales, Partner Management and Verifications.
• Ensure operational excellence, compliance and efficient verification processes.
• Act as the brand custodian in Zimbabwe, collaborating with marketing for consistent market presence.
• Provide reporting on performance, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Business or a related field.
• Extensive sales experience with a proven record of driving results.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing teams.
• Strong understanding of financial services, payments or remittance environments.
• Commercial mindset with ability to translate strategy into execution.
• Confidence in stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship building.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the market.
