Relationship Officer

About the role

The Relationship Officer will join CBZ Agroyield’s Business Development and Sales Department to build and nurture client relationships that support agricultural operations and financial growth. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients manage portfolios, balance risk and reward, and achieve their financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Agro‑Yield clients to support their agricultural operations and financial growth.
• Visit clients quarterly to stay updated on their operations and needs.
• Match client expectations with appropriate product mixes and convert leads into sales.
• Review client requirements proactively and assist in portfolio management.
• Identify clients’ financial needs and provide suitable Agro‑Yield and group services.
• Monitor market trends and economic conditions to offer informed advice.
• Ensure compliance with internal regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Support risk‑management frameworks and manage credit interest rates within guidelines.
• Drive revenue growth by contributing to monthly and annual sales targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Banking, Finance, Business Studies, Economics or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in client relationship management, sales or business development within financial services or agribusiness.
• Professional qualifications such as Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe (IOBZ), CFA, CIC, or CFP are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Competency in financial analysis.
