Quality Control Officer

About the role

The Quality Control Officer ensures that all products and processes at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions meet defined quality standards. Working in the workshop and with subcontractors, you will inspect components throughout repair and assembly stages to maintain product integrity and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain the ISO 9001‑based Quality Management System (QMS).
• Maintain QMS documentation, including Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective‑action logs.
• Conduct incoming, in‑process and final inspections to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Perform dimensional, visual and functional testing using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, GD&T symbols and fabrication/assembly specifications.
• Identify, document and report defects, generate NCRs and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure traceability of parts and processes across all repair and production stages.
• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Support internal and external audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably heavy‑equipment or industrial sector.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 implementation and internal auditing.
• Experience with environmental management, HSE/HSEQ and ESG reporting is advantageous.
