Quality Control Officer

About the role

The Quality Control Officer ensures that all products and processes at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions meet defined quality standards. Working in the company workshop and subcontractor sites, you will inspect components throughout repair and assembly stages to maintain product integrity and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001.
• Maintain QMS documentation, including NCRs and corrective‑action logs.
• Review and approve quality control plans and technical procedures.
• Ensure traceability of parts and processes across all repair and production stages.
• Conduct incoming, in‑process and final inspections, performing dimensional, visual and functional testing.
• Interpret technical drawings, GD&T symbols and fabrication/assembly specifications.
• Identify, document and report defects, generate NCRs and follow up on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Support internal and external audits and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing or heavy‑equipment environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 implementation and internal auditing.
• Experience with environmental management, sustainability and ESG reporting.
• Proven ability to work with quality control methodologies and documentation.
