Product Specialist – Mining Equipment (Zimbabwe)

About the role

The Product Specialist will drive sales, provide technical support, and develop the market for Sandvik M and C product lines across Zimbabwe. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, demonstrate solutions, and ensure high satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to promote and sell Sandvik M and C products, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Provide expert technical advice, product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting for customers.
• Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities, track competitor activity, and capture customer requirements.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to both prospective and existing clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team, service department, and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Manage customer relationships, address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Represent Sandvik at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential customers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining, Electrical, Business, or a related technical field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in sales, technical support, or product management within mining, construction, or heavy‑machinery sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the Zimbabwean mining and construction market.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively within Zimbabwe.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is a plus.
