MI / Planning Analyst – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking an MI / Planning Analyst to join a finance team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support business performance through detailed financial analysis, planning, and management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business volumes, margins and overall financial performance.
• Monitor operating expenses, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Prepare working‑capital analyses, performance summaries and business commentary.
• Develop high‑quality presentations and management reports using PowerPoint.
• Coordinate strategic and operational planning, including volume, margin, OPEX, CAPEX, working‑capital and lease planning.
• Collate financial information from business units, update planning systems and support budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with business managers and senior stakeholders to deliver timely financial insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA) completed or in progress.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, positive attitude toward learning.
