Livelihoods & Enterprise Development Officer

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Livelihoods & Enterprise Development Officer to facilitate entrepreneurship, business management and financial literacy training for youth and school enterprises in Shurugwi, Zimbabwe.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate entrepreneurship, business management and financial literacy training.
• Support development of business plans, governance systems and growth strategies.
• Conduct enterprise assessments and identify viable livelihood opportunities.
• Promote market access and youth economic empowerment pathways.
• Ensure compliance with World Vision safeguarding, child protection and PSEA policies.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits to schools, SME groups and individual entrepreneurs.
• Provide mentorship and technical support on project implementation challenges.
• Monitor business performance, profitability and sustainability indicators.
• Mobilise communities, government departments and private‑sector partners to support youth and school enterprises.
• Facilitate market linkages, networking opportunities and access to financing.
• Collect project data, develop impact newsletters and maintain beneficiary databases.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and contribute to learning and scalability.

Required profile

• Degree in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Rural Development, Education (Enterprise Development focus), Youth Development, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Community Development or related field.
