Handyman

About the role

The Handyman will support the day‑to‑day maintenance operations at A'Zambezi River Lodge, ensuring that all facilities and equipment remain in safe and functional condition. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role combines routine upkeep with quick response to any equipment issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Conduct regular hotel inspections to identify malfunctioning equipment.
• Provide first‑line maintenance support, addressing minor repairs promptly.
• Monitor fire safety equipment and manage storeroom inventories.
• Clean and maintain plant rooms and related service areas.

Required profile

• Minimum of five O’ Levels, including English.
• At least two years of relevant maintenance or handyman experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively with staff, guests, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional, courteous demeanor and a collaborative attitude.
