Graduate Finance Intern

About the role

SNV is seeking a Graduate Finance Intern to support its finance unit in Zimbabwe. This position offers hands‑on experience with month‑end processes, audit support, and daily finance operations, providing a solid foundation for a career in finance or accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end finance activities, including creditors, fixed assets and debtors reconciliations.
• Receive, review, log and route incoming invoices, payment requests and correspondence.
• Verify supporting documents such as expense acquittals for accuracy before posting.
• Support annual statutory and project audits by preparing required documentation.
• Participate in fixed‑asset verification and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Help manage vehicle records, including log‑sheet reviews and fuel reconciliations.
• Maintain organized finance records and perform accurate data entry.
• Contribute to month‑end financial reports and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Assist in compiling monthly fuel consumption reports and recording deliveries.
• Undertake additional learning tasks assigned by the Finance Administrator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum two years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work diligently with minimal errors.

Required skills

• Knowledge of finance ERP systems.
• Familiarity with SAP (advantageous).
