Experienced Maternity Nurse – 6‑Month Live‑in Placement in Harare

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, native‑English speaking maternity nurse to join a professional couple in Harare for a six‑month live‑in placement, starting around the end of May / early June 2026. The role begins after the mother returns from giving birth in London and focuses on newborn and post‑natal care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑time newborn care, establishing feeding, sleeping and settling routines.
• Offer expert breastfeeding support, including latch assistance, schedule planning and troubleshooting.
• Monitor the baby’s development and wellbeing, maintaining a clean and organised environment.
• Support the mother’s physical and emotional recovery during the postpartum period.
• Sterilise bottles and equipment as required and share the baby’s room while on duty.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional maternity nursing experience, preferably with UHNW families.
• Strong academic background and excellent English communication skills.
• Calm, proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
• Non‑smoker and able to respect the family’s wish to keep the baby’s gender private.
• South African passport preferred for visa purposes.

• 24‑hour work schedule (24 hours per day, 6 days per week) with a 4‑hour daily rest break.
