Programme Analyst – Gender & GBV

About the role

The Programme Analyst, Gender & GBV will support UNFPA’s mission in Zimbabwe by delivering gender equity and GBV prevention programmes, especially for adolescents, women and key populations in both development and humanitarian contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and formulation of the country programme and annual work plans in collaboration with government, UN partners, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Ensure high‑quality programme design, incorporating lessons learned, policies and best practices, and establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
• Support and coordinate project implementation, fostering collaborative relationships with executing agencies, experts and government counterparts.
• Track programme implementation and financial expenditure, guiding partners to submit quality technical and financial reports.
• Analyse political, social and economic trends to identify opportunities for UNFPA intervention and provide inputs for policy dialogue and national development frameworks.
• Facilitate knowledge management by documenting emerging trends, lessons learned and best practices for internal use and future planning.
