About the role

The University’s Enterprise Division is seeking an Embroidery Machine Operator on a fixed‑term basis to support its clothing production unit. The role involves operating and maintaining embroidery equipment to produce high‑quality garments according to design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up embroidery machines for each project, ensuring correct configuration and thread tension.
• Load digital patterns and appropriate materials onto the machines.
• Monitor machine performance throughout production runs and address any interruptions.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or software issues.
• Conduct quality checks on finished pieces to verify compliance with design and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities and material usage.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Minimum of one (1) year experience as an embroidery operator in the clothing industry.
• Certificate or diploma in a related clothing or textile field is an advantage.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight schedules.
