Clothing Factory Machinist – Fixed Term

About the role

The Clothing Factory Machinist will join the university's enterprise division to support garment production on a fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role focuses on operating industrial sewing equipment efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Produce garments in line with detailed production specifications.
• Maintain quality standards, minimise defects and meet daily production targets.
• Report any machine faults promptly to supervisors.
• Keep the workstation clean, orderly and well‑organized.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet critical path deadlines.

Required profile

• At least one (1) year of experience as a machinist in the clothing industry.
• Certificate or diploma in a related clothing or textile field is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision and meet production schedules.
