Process Engineer – Transformation & Process Improvement

About the role

A full-time Process Engineer position is open in Harare, Zimbabwe. The role leads cross-functional transformation initiatives that align with the organisation's strategic objectives, defines roadmaps and KPIs, and drives operational efficiency and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives and define roadmaps and KPIs, working with senior leadership to prioritise opportunities
• Optimise business processes with BU COOs and other functions, and monitor progress against timelines, budgets and goals
• Maintain a process database and a framework for interdepartmental SLAs and processes
• Track transformation benefits and ensure the business case is achieved
• Engage executive and operational stakeholders, establish governance structures and give regular updates to leadership and committees
• Work with the BU COO, Risk, Compliance and Legal departments, IT and Operations teams, internal and external auditors, and third-party vendors and partners

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Information Systems or a related field
• At least 7 years of experience in business transformation, operations management, programme management, process improvement or strategy execution
• At least 3 years managing cross-functional projects, programmes or teams
• Proven track record of complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives with measurable business benefits
• Desirable: postgraduate qualification; Lean Six Sigma, change management or project management certification; experience in financial services, preferably regulated
