About the role

The Midlands State University Enterprise Division is seeking a skilled Clothing Factory Machinist to join its garment production team. The role involves operating industrial sewing equipment to produce high‑quality garments while meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently and safely.
• Produce garments according to detailed production specifications.
• Maintain quality standards and minimise defects.
• Meet daily production targets and adhere to critical path deadlines.
• Report machine faults promptly to the Production Supervisor.
• Keep the workstation clean and orderly.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a machinist in the clothing industry.
• Certificate or diploma in the clothing industry is an advantage.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow production schedules.

Required skills

• Industrial sewing machine operation.
