Client Partner – Business Development

About the role

Data Sentinels is seeking a Client Partner to lead business development and client acquisition across Zimbabwe. You will work closely with senior executives to identify transformation opportunities, present our consulting services, and secure consulting and retainer agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective clients throughout Zimbabwe, building a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand client challenges and transformation goals.
• Present Data Sentinels’ value proposition to CEOs, Managing Directors, Heads of Operations, and other senior decision‑makers.
• Generate and nurture leads through networking, referrals, events, and direct outreach.
• Develop trusted relationships with decision‑makers and maintain regular communication.
• Lead opportunities from initial contact through proposal development, commercial negotiation, and contract signing.
• Achieve quarterly sales and revenue targets while collaborating with leadership on strategic opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging client needs to provide market intelligence.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of activities, forecasts, and revenue performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, consulting, or enterprise software sales.
• Established network of senior business leaders in Zimbabwe.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
• Proven track record selling professional services, consulting, technology solutions, or enterprise software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self‑driven, able to work independently and meet targets.
