B2B Key Accounts Manager

About the role

Trafigura is looking for a B2B Key Accounts Manager in Harare. The role covers achieving financial targets such as sales volume, margin, day sales outstanding and return on assets, managing national key accounts, running sales operations and partnering with marketing and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets and ensure sales budgets are achieved, and manage customer credit, reconciliation and customer service.
• Nurture customer relationships across all channels of trade, manage pricing, rebates and discounts, and control gross margin per customer.
• Improve sales forecasting accuracy, run monthly business reviews and KPIs, and profile and segment customers to grow sales and profit.
• Manage contracts, asset management and administration, and take corrective action from variance analysis.
• Take part in developing general trade sales strategies and new business models, and open new opportunities in mining and construction, transport, manufacturing, civil infrastructure, government and reseller segments.
• Implement promotions and marketing activities, collect market intelligence and competitor pricing data, and manage capital expenditure, commitments and liquidations.
• Build a positive sales climate, recruit and onboard sales talent, develop training and support coaching.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE and security standards, and support risk management and internal controls.

Required profile

• Commercial or Marketing degree.
• Specialisation in marketing courses.
• At least three years of experience in a similar position.
• English and the local language are required; Mandarin is a plus.
