Airport Manager (Harare)

Let your career take off with the world’s leading airline, Etihad Airways. As an Airport Manager you will lead, plan and direct airport operations in Harare, overseeing teams and service providers to ensure safety, security and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all passenger and aircraft handling operations on a management and shift basis, ensuring compliance with checklists, brand requirements, company policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in daily operations, working shifts that may include weekends and public holidays to maintain local service continuity.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through promotion, hazard identification, risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
• Ensure flight editing and special guest requirements are met, coordinating VIP/MAAS, PRM and other special categories.
• Deliver, maintain and rehearse the station emergency response plan, disruption handling, diversion/delay procedures and business continuity plans.
• Accountable for on‑time performance, including delay mitigation, accurate reporting and follow‑up.
• Oversee airport ancillary sales performance, promotion and process compliance.
• Promote, deliver and monitor customer‑service standards against KPIs and act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience with demonstrable leadership, project‑management and business‑solution skills.
• Minimum 7‑9 years of relevant experience in a leadership or senior‑management capacity, preferably within a global airline or airport environment.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in high‑pressure, shift‑based settings.
• Strong track record of delivering results and communicating across multiple internal and external channels.
• Previous regional or international exposure is highly advantageous.
