Driver/Biker

About the role

The Driver/Biker will provide safe, reliable transportation for staff, research participants, documents and supplies supporting ACRN’s clinical research activities across Zimbabwe. This role ensures smooth logistical operations for site visits, meetings and emergency transport while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Transport staff, participants, documents and materials to designated locations, including urgent and emergency requests.
• Maintain assigned vehicles – keep them clean, road‑worthy, fueled and coordinate servicing or repairs.
• Record trip logs, mileage and fuel usage accurately and submit documentation on time.
• Follow traffic laws, ACRN transport policies and report any accidents or safety concerns immediately.
• Protect confidential information and interact courteously with staff, participants and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Valid Zimbabwean driver’s licence (Class 2 or Class 4; Class 3 mandatory for bikers).
• Minimum two years of professional driving experience, preferably in healthcare, research, NGO or mission‑driven settings.
• Basic awareness of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and professional conduct in research environments.
• Defensive driving certification and basic vehicle‑maintenance training are preferred.
