Accountant – Remote (Zimbabwe) for UK Healthcare & Property

About the role

Elyon Healthcare, a UK‑based private care and property provider, is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its remote finance team based in Zimbabwe. You will manage day‑to‑day financial operations for both the healthcare division and the property company Imba Yedu, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and send invoices for domiciliary care, supported living services, and property rentals.
• Perform bank, payment, accounts‑receivable and accounts‑payable reconciliations.
• Prepare client statements, follow up on outstanding balances and manage debtor communications.
• Monitor cash‑flow, produce regular reports and flag risks.
• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and support year‑end accounts.
• Ensure UK tax compliance, HMRC submissions and payroll reporting including NEST pension contributions.
• Maintain financial records in Odoo ERP and collaborate with operations and payroll teams.
• Assist with budgeting, inter‑company reconciliations and process supplier invoices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Currently pursuing or holding a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and effective written and verbal English communication.
