Till Operator – Fixed-Term (4 months) – Kwekwe Campus

About the role

The University’s retail shop on the Kwekwe campus is seeking two enthusiastic Till Operators on a four‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be the front‑line contact for customers, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with purchases and answer queries professionally.
• Operate the cash register and POS system efficiently, scanning items, processing payments, issuing receipts or refunds, and balancing the till.
• Maintain constant availability at the till to support timely transaction processing.
• Follow front‑end procedures, service standards, hygiene and housekeeping requirements.
• Apply product knowledge to upsell promotions and relay customer feedback to management.
• Resolve routine inquiries or escalate complex issues to supervisors.
• Assist with packing items, restocking shelves and keeping the store presentable.
• Adhere to cash‑handling and security policies and maintain high personal grooming standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of five O‑Level passes including Mathematics and English.
• At least two years of experience operating a till in a retail FMCG environment.
• A Certificate in Till Operating is an advantage.
