Projects and Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Projects and Maintenance Engineer will oversee investment implementation and maintenance activities for network and facility assets in Zimbabwe. The role ensures compliance with TotalEnergies standards, local regulations, and company safety programs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the ICC safety program and ensure contractors improve their Safety Management Systems.
• Conduct spot site inspections, report anomalies, and enforce group safety programs such as GOLDEN RULES, JST, and ZERO FACILITIES.
• Develop and execute the annual preventive maintenance plan for key network equipment, checking at least 10% of work onsite.
• Supervise corrective maintenance activities, issue permits, and verify 10% of works for quality.
• Provide input to OPEX and CAPEX maintenance budgets, track utilization, and implement cost‑reduction measures.
• Conduct annual ERIS audits for allocated service stations and create action plans for 100% compliance.
• Monitor IZI safety compliance weekly and drive actions to achieve full compliance.
• Manage the DAISY maintenance tool, ensure user enrolment, and oversee timely closure of interventions.

Required profile

• Experience in implementing and monitoring HSE programs on engineering projects.
• Proven ability to develop preventive maintenance plans and supervise corrective maintenance work.
• Strong budgeting skills for OPEX and CAPEX maintenance activities.
• Capability to conduct audits (ERIS) and drive compliance actions.
• Familiarity with safety and maintenance tools such as IZI safety, DAISY, and ERIS.
